Los Angeles, CA, May 2025 – The Southern California Chapter of MUFON has announced the promotion of Gene Meregillano (former Chief Investigator) to the position of State Director of Southern California MUFON.

Gene had previously served as the Chief Investigator for that MUFON Chapter, under former So. Cal. Chapter State Director Earl Grey Anderson, who passed away on April 27. Gene has taken the reigns for the Southern California region and will be overseeing the recruitment of new members and investigators; holding public meetings, and managing the day to day duties of the State Director.
