We’re Watching the Same Movie

Use The Farce By Ron James

April 2025

So, I fell asleep with the TV on. As I return from dreamland to consciousness, I vaguely hear something in the distance about a video of a Tic Tac-shaped object coming out of the ocean or something.

Convinced I’m still dreaming, I toss and turn until the alarm goes off. I open my eyes. I grab my phone. Another Tic Tac video plays in the background.

I’m having grave concerns that maybe I’ve awakened in another reality. Perhaps a time warp. Perhaps I’m still dreaming, asleep inside the matrix—a world within a world. I wonder why such possibilities would even cross my mind… and then I remember what I do.

Oh yeah… there’s that.

But as with everything, as we’re supposed to constantly remind ourselves - there is most likely an explanation that doesn’t involve redefining reality.

And there is. Fumbling for my phone and confirming the date, I look back at the TV in sad disbelief. Sure enough, it’s really happening.

Kindly delivered for my viewing pleasure, complete with a self-serving watermark that feels wildly out of place on what is supposedly a government (therefore, publicly owned) video, is a brand-new cryptic blob—emerging from cryptic water, with cryptic origins.

Wait, I say to myself—that looks just like the other videos we started seeing in 2017.

And then it dawns on me: 2017. That’s almost a decade ago. That’s a long time. And what exactly have we been doing for nearly a decade?

I’ll tell you what we’ve been doing. We’ve been watching the same movie over and over again.

What’s worse is that we’ve been watching the same movie over and over again… thinking it might be a different movie. Some of us are even pretending it’s a different movie. But it’s not.

In 2023, I released my film Accidental Truth. A lot of people have asked me why the sequel, Accidental Truth – NEXT, still isn’t out.

The answer is simple: It’s because a sequel we do not yet have. Even other filmmakers have been affected, basically delivering the same movie—because we are all still stuck in the same movie. And the BIGGEST THING NO ONE SEEMS TO GET IS…

This isn’t just the same movie we’ve been watching since 2017—it’s the same movie many of us barely remember from the 1950s. That’s right, folks. Not only have we been suspended in a non-moving plot of a tired narrative - it’s a bad remake of the exact same movie we got to see in black and white. Years ago.

That’s right!

Step right up, everyone—it’s the event of the century!
We’ve got a new government openness about UFOs!
We’ve got a genuine effort in Congress to “get to the bottom of it!”
We’ve got sympathetic whistleblowers who would love to tell us everything... but they just can’t. We’ve got some strange footage… followed by even more strange footage!

Sound familiar? Of course it does. It started in 2017.

Oh, wait—no it didn’t.

It started in the 1950s. The cycle of BS went on for over a decade, and in the end? Nothing but smoke and mirrors. With just a little bit of never-officially-verified information, the gatekeepers of the past managed to drag the conversation out for years, until we lost interest—without ever really telling us anything.

“Oh, but Ron, you’re wrong. Look at these new people and all they’re revealing. We’re close, Ron. We’re close.”

Sorry, I’m not wrong. If you look at the insiders who came forward during the original stage play, you’ll see the acknowledgments haven’t really changed. Like I said—this is a bad remake of a bad movie. And we’ve all been stuck watching it, like some slow-moving UFO Groundhog Day Decade.

Meet the new boss. Same as the old boss.

So I, for one, have had it. As intimately as I know the characters, as close as I’ve been to the process—I see it for what it is. And I’ve had enough. I’m leaving my popcorn on the floor and getting out of the theater.

At this point, we just have to collectively internalize the reality of non-human intelligence and move, in our own way, toward incorporating that knowledge into our lives.

What’s next? It’s time to stop the cycle of minimal information that we can puzzle over, debate, and ponder for another decade.

It’s time to quit looking at Washington—and start looking inside.

This summer, I’ll be releasing Accidental Truth – NEXT. (Sorry for the shameless self-promotion. Did I mention that Matthew Modine is back as the narrator?) I promise you—no matter what you may be expecting—it won’t be that.

Once again, it’s time to move the ball. Or the orb. Or the sphere. Or the plasmoid. Or whatever the X&%**% it is.

In the meantime, there’s still the opportunity to keep watching the same movie—even if you already know how it ends.
