What To Do If You Believe You Are An Unaware Abductee

Our Shifting Reality By CJ Arabia

May 2025

Last month, I introduced you to the concept of Unaware Abductees.

Unaware Abductees are people who do not necessarily have memories of being abducted, but they have things like missing time, strange recurring dreams, feelings of floating up out of their beds, and other memories that sometimes mask an experience buried deep in the subconscious. The concept of Unaware Abductees has been around for decades, but who is helping them these days?

Back in the 80’s and 90’s, you had guys like Budd Hopkins, John Mack and David Jacobs hypnotizing people who fit a certain profile in the hopes that they would unearth real memories of alien abduction buried deep inside the subconscious. These guys aren’t practicing anymore, so it can be hard for someone who suspects contact to figure out which way to turn for help.

So, if you feel like you are an Unaware Abductee, what can you do? First of all, you can report your case to MUFON's Experiencer Resource Team and your report will be handled by a trained team member who will reach out to you online to see if you want to speak on the phone or do a video call.

These people are highly trained and experienced in handling cases of contact with non-human entities. MUFON ERT members can also help you find a referral to a highly trained professional therapist, psychologist or hypnotist – a professional who actually has experience helping abductees and those experiencing contact.

If you want to further explore your suspicions and memories (or lack thereof,) you can then contact a psychiatrist or hypnotherapist trained specifically to handle people experiencing contact with non-human entities.

It doesn’t matter where you live, these professionals can help you in person, on the phone, or via video meeting. They are trained in techniques that can not only help you explore memories for greater detail and possibly recover lost memories, but also help you integrate those recovered memories and experiences into your daily life.

There are also many support groups all over the world. Some of these experiencer support groups are in person and others are online. Most of these groups are free, but some charge a nominal fee of $10 or so.

At these support group meetings, you will meet other experiencers just like yourself. You’ll hear other people sharing their experiences and you’ll be able to share yours as well. These gatherings can provide a comfort and support that you simply won’t find with your regular friends and family.

You can also become active in the UFO community by joining groups like the Hollywood Disclosure Alliance and MUFON. These organizations have live speakers, meetings and conferences, and online chat forums – different ways in which you can keep yourself educated as to the latest happenings in the world of UFOs.

I also highly recommend subscribing to YouTube channels like Breaking The Silence or Cosmosis. Both of these are designed to help and educate experiencers.

This is a time to learn more about what is possibly happening to you. You can read books about abduction like Abduction by John Mack, or Missing Time by Budd Hopkins. These books are full stories told by real experiencers and if you are indeed an experiencer, you’re going to find many of the stories in these books relatable.

Contact between humans and non-human entities has been going on for thousands of years and there’s nothing wrong with you for suspecting that you may be having contact. There are communities of people out there who know what you’re going through and are ready, willing and able to help you.
