Phoenix, AZ, November 3, 2025 – Dr. Lynne D. Kitei, Founder of The Phoenix Lights Network, has notified The WOW! Signal News of two interesting new updates.
Dr. Kitei reports that The History Channel recently aired a “Special Presentation” episode of the hit TV series The UnXplained” hosted by William Shatner, which was entitled: “Mysterious America” and aired on October 7. The episode dove deep into some of the most intriguing and puzzling mysteries found throughout North America. With a focus on UFO sightings and the remnants of lost civilizations, viewers saw a captivating journey into the unknown.
The episode explored various UFO sightings that have been reported by thousands of people across the continent, most notably the 1997 Phoenix Lights event. These accounts often leave more questions than answers, and the show examined the evidence and theories surrounding these mysterious events. Experts weighed in on the significance of these sightings and what they could mean for our understanding of the universe.
In addition to UFOs, the “Mysterious America” episode also looked into the stories of missing civilizations, highlighting archaeological findings and historical records that suggest entire cultures have vanished without a trace. This exploration of the past provided insights into what may have happened to these civilizations, sparking curiosity about the factors that led to their disappearance.
In addition, Dr. Kitei also tells The WOW! Signal, “The 1997 Phoenix Lights Case is still of great interest worldwide! The story was recently featured as an integral part of Phoenix Magazine’s section about “Phoenix in the 1990s,” which ran in its Sept./Oct. 2025 issue.”

1997: FLYING OBJECTS
On March 13, 1997, Paradise Valley physician Dr. Lynne D. Kitei looked out a window and noticed three “huge amber balls of light” levitating in the night sky. Quickly locating her camera, she took a few shots. At the time, Kitei didn’t realize she was capturing photographic evidence of the Phoenix Lights, the mystifying formation of glowing orbs reported by thousands of witnesses that remains one of the most documented mass UFO sightings in modern history.
Kitei later spoke with equally curious Sky Harbor air traffic controllers, who described seeing “six points of light… in rock-solid formation, appearing in an equidistantly spaced line at 1,000-foot altitude over Class B restricted airspace.”
Kitei soon pushed her medical career aside to compile data, write a book and release a documentary in relentless pursuit of a logical explanation. Former AZ Gov. Symington, who mocked the sighting in 1997, disclosed in 2010 that he had actually witnessed one of the massive Phoenix Lights craft at the time. He noted that, as an awarded military pilot, the lights were "Definitely NOT flares... but otherworldly!”
Concludes Dr. Kitei, “After 30 years of continued inquiries into an official explanation of the 1997 Phoenix Lights event, I still have yet to find one.”
