SoCal MUFON to Renew Monthly Meetings for Members Starting November 16
Los Angeles, CA, November 3, 2025 – The Southern California Chapter of MUFON is one of the organization’s busiest, when it comes to reports of anomalous objects above American skies. This region was supervised by the watchful eye of MUFON State Director Earl Grey Anderson from 2023, until his shocking death, earlier this year.

It has taken a bit of time to regroup, but, today, the Southern California MUFON leadership has announced that the chapter will hold its first public meeting since the passing of their beloved State Director in April 2025.
“Earl used to have these amazing, in-person meetings at the West Valley Music Center, and he always got the best speakers from all areas of UFOlogy to speak to us,” recalls SoCal MUFON’s Chief Investigator, C.J. Arabia. “After these meetings, we would go to the local Mexican restaurant and get margaritas and food. Our members always had so much fun together. We don't want to lose that fellowship - we want to carry on in the Earl tradition. In this way, our members will be able to keep coming together in a shared spirit of community.”
Though having in-person meetings again is the primary goal of SoCal MUFON’s Executive Team, they are starting off with an initial VIRTUAL MEETING that will take place on ZOOM. This new meeting will be held on Sunday, Nov. 16, at 2pm PT, and will last approximately 90 minutes. The meeting will be open to the general public.

To attend this meeting, people will need to register online by Nov. 15th.
During the Nov. 16 meeting, Paul Hynek will be paying tribute to Earl Grey Anderson, while Stephen Bassett will be delivering a Disclosure Update from Washington, D.C. Southern California MUFON’s State Director Gene Meregillano, Mike Riso, State Section Director and Field Investigator, and C.J. Arabia, Chief Investigator, will be sharing new UAP cases of interest, updating local members on general MUFON business, and making some special announcements.
“Many of our longtime members have been asking when we will be going back to having public meetings again, so we’ll be able to talk about that and other important MUFON business matters,” adds C.J. Arabia. “I don’t know exactly when we will get back to having in-person meetings precisely, but we're working on it! We are still looking for the right venue. But until then, we’re going to get things rolling with some initial virtual meetings.”
Please note that starting in January 2026, Southern California MUFON will hold monthly meetings open to the public on the first Sunday of each month at 2pm Pacific Time via Zoom.
Interested attendees will need to register for each meeting. SoCal MUFON executives ask that interested parties be sure to follow Southern California MUFON’s website and social channels for meeting announcements and RSVP/Registration links:
