International UFO Bureau Celebrates a Landmark First Year of Operations
Oklahoma City, OK, Jan. 19, 2026 — As the International UFO Bureau (IUFOB) closes its first full year since its modern re-founding in late 2024, the organization proudly reflects on a year defined by rapid growth, groundbreaking research, global recognition, and historic accomplishments. What began with a vision to honor the pioneering legacy of Hayden C. Hewes has transformed into one of the most dynamic and influential forces in modern UFO and UAP research.
In just twelve months, the IUFOB has evolved from a revitalized historical institution into a federally recognized 509(a)(2) organization with a powerful public presence and expanding global footprint. The Bureau has garnered nearly 100,000 followers across social platforms without the aid of any paid advertising, demonstrating strong public interest in transparent, evidence-based UFO research. This rapid organic growth was made possible in part through the support and collaboration of trusted partners including the Hollywood Disclosure Alliance (HDA), Wow! Signal News, and a growing network of researchers, media professionals, and advocates who share the IUFOB’s commitment to responsible inquiry, transparency, and public education.
Throughout 2024–2025, the IUFOB released six official press releases, published one major study, launched a weekly podcast, and began monetization through TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. The organization now maintains a stable working capital position, has welcomed more than 40 contributing supporters, and continues building a strong technological and administrative foundation for long-term sustainability. This structure is intentionally designed to support IUFOB operations without requiring our hard-working members to shoulder financial responsibility in addition to the significant time, expertise, and energy they already donate to the cause. Unlike many organizations that rely heavily on member funding, the IUFOB prioritizes easing that burden by developing external revenue streams and welcoming support from major donors who have the financial capacity — though not always the time — to help advance our mission.
One of the most defining achievements of the year was the IUFOB’s scientific contribution to global UFO research. The discovery and analysis of the 5.04-hertz anomalous electromagnetic frequency, led by IUFOB researchers Melissa Madrigal and Dr. Gregory Rogers, has gained international recognition and is now informing ongoing scientific work in Mexico through IMIX. This breakthrough marks a significant advancement in the study of anomalous phenomena and reflects the Bureau’s commitment to responsible, data-driven research.
This year also brought a major expansion to IUFOB’s media reach. The relocation of The Bureau Podcast to its new home on the Enigmatic Anomalies YouTube Channel provides in-house production, enhanced transparency, and a direct way for the public to support the Bureau’s mission through views, likes, shares, and subscriptions.
Additionally, the IUFOB strengthened its commitment to community engagement by encouraging individuals to report UFO, UAP, entity, and abduction encounters — whether recent or decades old. Every report contributes to a deeper collective understanding of anomalous phenomena and enhances the Bureau’s national investigative efforts.
