Idaho Witness Says UFO Split into Small Orbs Over River

A Southern Idaho resident recently reported seeing something remarkable in the sky over a section of the Snake River southwest of Boise.
Melba, Idaho, is located 33 miles southwest of Boise. It's in this region of the state where Dedication Point can be found. Recently, a witness contacted the National UFO Reporting Center in Washington State claiming to have seen an unidentified aerial phenomena (UAP) from a lookout platform above the river.
The Dedication Point Overlook juts out 400 feet above the Snake River and offers incredible canyon views. The witness reported seeing the strange anomaly through the lens of a telescope on Thursday evening (December 11, 2025) just after sunset.
In the report published by the NUFORC, the witness claims to have observed the object for approximately five minutes. It was described as an 'orange orb' that was not any known flying aircraft. There are numerous videos online regarding strange sightings of unexplained flying objects shaped like orbs.
The report went onto to mention that the object 'split into four very small orange orbs that were trailing behind it,' according to the lone witness. The orbs flew across the sky at a low level, according to the NUFORC data.
