Washington, D.C., September 2025 -- The Fight for Transparency Reaches the Rules Committee:
The battle for government transparency has reached a decisive juncture. The House Committee on Rules will soon determine whether Representative Eric Burlison’s (R-MO) UAP Disclosure Act of 2025 (UAPDA) will advance as an amendment to the 2026 National Defense Authorization Act. Without the approval of this House committee, this historic measure may never reach the floor for a vote in the Lower Chamber of Congress.
The Rules Committee holds extraordinary power. Their decision will decide whether every member of Congress can weigh in on one of the most consequential transparency initiatives in decades. The UAPDA would reestablish congressional oversight, create an independent review board with subpoena authority, mandate the release of records more than 25 years old, and ensure that disclosure is conducted responsibly while safeguarding legitimate national security concerns.

On November 13, 2024, history was made in the Rayburn House Office Building on Capitol Hill as Congress convened a landmark hearing on UFOs/UAP. For only the second time in generations, elected officials directly confronted decades of secrecy surrounding one of the greatest mysteries of our time.
Yet a crucial question lingers. Every statement made at the hearing was pre-approved by the Department of Defense’s Office of Prepublication and Security Review (DOPSR). Can we truly call this disclosure if the narrative is still filtered through the very institution accused of suppressing the truth?
Our short film, The New Paradigm, captures the urgency of this moment.
