Updates From The New Paradigm Institute
As first reported by D. Dean Johnson and confirmed by Matt Laslo, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), along with co-sponsors Mike Rounds (R-SD) and Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), have filed the Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena Disclosure Act of 2025 (UAPDA) as Amendment SA 3111 to the FY 2026 National Defense Authorization Act (S.2296).
Shortly after the news broke on X, Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO) replied to D Dean Johnson that he will submit similar language in the House, continuing his coordination with Senator Rounds to ensure a unified, bipartisan effort. This is real movement on the path to disclosure.
As Congress heads into summer recess, all eyes turn to August and September, when the amendment will be reviewed and debated. Your continued pressure is critical!
Please encourage friends and family to take action now using our advocacy tools. The NPI is making progress — but the fight is not over.
Revisiting the Aztec UFO Crash: A Forgotten Piece of the Puzzle
As The NPI continues its push for full UFO/UAP disclosure, the group can’t overlook the historical cases that still raise important questions. One such case is the alleged 1948 crash of a disc-shaped craft in Aztec, New Mexico. According to longstanding accounts, the military recovered a 99-foot disc and sixteen small humanoid bodies from Hart Canyon. The craft was allegedly transported away from Aztec by the U.S. government.
The story gained national attention in 1950 through Frank Scully’s book Behind the Flying Saucers, based on sources Silas Newton and Leo Gebauer. However, both Newton and Gebauer were later convicted of unrelated fraud, casting doubt on their credibility. Still, their conviction never directly disproved the Aztec incident but buried the story under public skepticism.
Beginning in the 1970s, researchers began reexamining the case. Books like UFO Crash at Aztec by William Steinman and The Aztec Incident by Scott and Suzanne Ramsey have argued for the event’s legitimacy, citing new witnesses and evidence pointing to a possible cover-up.
Most recently, independent researcher UAP Gerb has released a comprehensive video investigation into the Aztec case. His deep dive offers one of the most highly detailed examinations to date of the incident and highlights the investigative rigor we believe is essential to uncovering the truth.
Said Danny Sheehan, “We should remain open to all credible evidence, both in the past and present. These earlier accounts remain critical parts of the larger UFO/UAP investigation until insiders from the legacy crash retrieval programs are able to testify publicly before Congress. I encourage you to watch UAP Gerb’s new report and continue asking the hard questions.
Additional Updates From The New Paradigm Institute
Thanks to the remarkable engagement of responders, the New Paradigm Institute is leading one of the most impactful grassroots efforts ever organized around UFO/UAP transparency. In just the past few weeks, the group’s Action Tools have generated almost ten thousand emails and phone calls to congressional offices, and is having strategic meetings with lawmakers weekly as the group presses forward to secure passage of the UAP Disclosure Act (UAPDA).
The NPI asks for addition help from responders to take the next steps.
Says Danny Sheehan, President and Chief Counsel of The NPI, “Your actions have already made a measurable difference, but to keep up the pressure where it matters most, we must scale up our efforts in Washington. That means funding the very real costs associated with direct advocacy: in-person Hill meetings, digital communications infrastructure, and our team’s grassroots organizing to put pressure on lawmakers. Just to give you an example of our daily efforts: our policy liaison, Kevin Wright, has had 75 meetings with key congressional offices on both sides of the aisle over the past 12 weeks.”
The NPI is committed to remaining fiercely independent. The group takes no government money and answers only to the truth and you, the American public. That’s why grassroots donations are the lifeblood of this organization.
The NPI stands at a pivotal moment. Behind the scenes, momentum is building, but so is the strength of the opposition. As the process of passing the National Defense Authorization Act (which The NPI wants amended by way of the UPA Disclosure Act) advances this summer, every dollar you contribute will go directly toward:
Expanding the group’s lobbying presence in D.C
Keeping the group’s call-to-action tools available to the public
Increasing pressure on lawmakers through direct constituent engagement
Building bipartisan alliances to secure passage of the UAPDA
“Your voice has power, and with your support, we can amplify that power inside the halls of Congress,” concludes Sheehan.
