Marilyn Salas, Longtime Wife of Bob Salas, Passes Away
Ojai, CA, Feb. 2, 2026 – Marilyn Salas, the longtime wife of iconic UAP experiencer and whistleblower Bob Salas, passed away on Jan. 28, 2026. She was a noted Energy Healer for many decades in Ojai, CA, where the couple long resided. Marilyn was 82.
Bob Salas reported the death on his Facebook page: “Some devastating news for me and all who knew her. My wife, Marilyn passed away this morning (Jan 28) due to a stroke followed by cardiac arrest. Longtime Disclosure activist Stephen Bassett, adds, “I was terribly distressed to hear the news about Marilyn’s passing. I’ve long envisioned the day Capt. Bob Salas is sworn in before a Congressional UAP Hearing to testify under oath about his Malmstrom experience of 1967 when ten Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles were shut down while a UAP hovered over the launch site. I could see in my mind’s eye Marilyn seated in the audience as he shares his story with Congress and the world. It’s a great loss to the entire UAP Community. We all send our deepest regrets to Bob and his family.”

Robert and Marilyn Salas were both founding members of The Hollywood Disclosure Alliance. Robert Salas served on active duty with the U.S. Air Force for seven years after graduation from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1964. He earned a Masters Degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio. He also worked with the Titan III Missile Systems program office at Los Angeles AFS.
After being honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1971, Mr. Salas briefly worked as an engineer for Martin-Marietta Aerospace and Rockwell International. From 1974 until his retirement in 1995, Mr. Salas worked for the Federal Aviation Administration as an aircraft structures engineer.
He has authored several books on the UFO phenomenon: Faded Giant (2005) and Unidentified - The UFO Phenomenon (2015).
Since 1996, Salas has spoken publicly in over 15 countries about the 1967 UFO / Missile Shutdowns he personally experienced while stationed at Malmstrom Air Force base in Montana.
