Local Businessman Funds University of Albany’s New UFO Research Program

UFO ENTHUSIASTS IN UPSTATE NEW YORK:
According to a recent article from the University at Albany, the school just received a massive endowment gift from a local businessman, Tony Gorman, and it’s all going toward cutting-edge scientific research on unidentified aerial phenomena (UAPs), better known to the rest of us as UFOs.
Gorman, a longtime Capital Region businessman behind The Gorman Group, says he was inspired after watching a local news story about UAlbany physicists using actual scientific methods to investigate strange objects in the sky. After meeting the researchers, he was all in.
The donation will support a team led by UAlbany professors Kevin Knuth, Matthew Szydagis, and Cecilia Levy, who have already published research on UAPs after running high-tech experiments in California using weather radar, radiation detectors, and artificial intelligence.
Their work has drawn attention from both Congress and the scientific community.
LAUNCHING “UALBANY PROJECT X”
Gorman’s gift also helps launch UAlbany Project X (UAPx), a brand-new academic collaboration dedicated entirely to UAP research. It builds on a federal nonprofit founded by Navy veterans who tracked mysterious radar targets.
Now, UAlbany joins a small global group of universities, including Harvard, that conduct legitimate scientific research in a field once dominated by conspiracy theories.
And honestly, if ever there was a reason to re-enroll in college after age 50, THIS is it.

THE GOAL?
According to the University, the goal is to use real data and real science to get real answers about what’s in our skies or under our oceans, and UAlbany officials say this gift ensures the Capital Region will be at the center of some of the most fascinating research worldwide.
