Latest Developments From The New Paradigm Institute
By Danny Sheehan
Washington, D.C., Dec. 22, 2025 -- As I shared in our last newsletter, I recently released a public statement urging thoughtful reflection on The Age of Disclosure and encouraging readers to look beyond the fear-driven national security framing presented in the film. In that statement, I wrote that New Paradigm Institute leadership and members maintain that the ET and non-human intelligence (NHI) presence interacting with humanity since at least 1947 appears, on balance, to be benevolent.
I want to take a moment to remind our readers that this view is not speculative. It is grounded in decades of documented encounters that point toward concern on the part of ETs for our species rather than hostility toward us.
One of the most compelling examples is the 1994 Ariel School encounter in Zimbabwe. More than sixty school children reported seeing a craft land near their playground and beings who communicated messages about caring for the Earth. The case was investigated extensively by Dr John Mack. The children were shaken by the experience but not harmed, and their accounts were consistent, calm, and focused.
Another well-known case is the putative abduction of Betty and Barney Hill. Although their experience involved medical examination, Betty Hill consistently described the beings as curious rather than cruel. She recalled that the leader attempted to calm her and ease her fear. Betty later shared her account in her own words in a two-part recorded interview that remains one of the most interesting firsthand UAP testimonies on record. (Part 1 and Part 2)
The 1975 case of Travis Walton (as seen in large main photo above, which depicts a scene from the Hollywood film Fire in the Sky,) also reflects the pattern of benevolence. After a well-documented encounter where Walton was caught in a beam from a UFO/UAP that appeared to kill him, Walton was found alive 5 days later. In Walton’s own retelling, the entities who picked him up after the beam incident acted “clinically interested” and “concerned about his well-being.” He believes they revived him after an accidental injury rather than abducting him maliciously.
These are only three of the most widely known examples. I’ve personally studied more than fifty cases that reinforce the same conclusion. While vigilance and discernment are always necessary, the overwhelming pattern suggests a presence that is cautious, observant, and in many cases protective of human life and planetary wellbeing.
This is why I felt it was important to issue our statement on The Age of Disclosure. I encourage you to read the full statement and then watch my video commentary in a recent episode of Full Disclosure, where I explore these themes in greater depth, if you haven’t already.
Together, we create the future.
