How One UAP Incident Can Change Your Life Forever
Special Guest Column By Dr. Gregory Rogers
It is amazing how one incident can change your life forever.
This was what happened to Staff Sargeant Jim Penniston on December 26th of 1980. He is now a retired United States Air Force security policeman but, on that date, he played a significant role in the famous Rendlesham Forest UAP Incident in December of 1980.
He was on what was expected to be a routine security duty on that fateful night in Suffolk, England. Starting on the morning after Christmas, the three-day UAP event was far from routine. Commonly known as "Britain's Roswell," the famous event involved several other American military personnel as well.
There were unexplained lights in the trees, and the security team carefully searched to find the source, since this was just outside an important NATO airbase storing nuclear weapons. The personnel then found that a mysterious craft had landed in the woods near the RAF Woodbridge airbase.
Penniston, along with fellow servicemen, cautiously investigated the scene. There was an unusual atmosphere in the woods as the men entered the forested area. Penniston had close personal contact with a very peculiar. triangular vehicle. He described strange markings the men saw when they neared the craft. He was the one who actually touched the strange vehicle, finding it warm to the touch. This unique encounter caused him to feel sick over the next few days. The transfer of knowledge he also encountered as he touched the bizarre ship still affects him today. His mind received an amazing binary code that would puzzle him for many years.
Penniston’s exceptional account of what transpired has fueled decades of speculation and debate about the nature of the incident. Most people who have heard him describe this account believe it to be factual evidence of extraterrestrial activity.
Jim Penniston, primarily known for his involvement in the Rendlesham Forest incident, has continued to be active within the broader UFO/UAP research community. His primary contributions have centered around his eyewitness testimony and his subsequent revelations. Down through the years, Penniston has participated in various organizations and events dedicated to the study of unexplained aerial phenomena.
Among these, has shared his insightful perspectives and odd experiences with researchers and enthusiasts worldwide. He has recently engaged with groups such as the International UFO Bureau. His work has helped to fuel ongoing interest and dialogue about the Rendlesham case, and the UAP topic in general. He remains a very respected voice in international forums and in conferences devoted to UAP phenomena.
Since he has joined the Board of Directors of the International UFO Bureau, of which I am also a member, I can speak from experience of what a fine and knowledgeable man he is today. I highly respect him, both as a person and as a former member of the U.S. Air Force. Having myself been the Chief of Aerospace Medicine at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station and the 45th Space Wing, we share a fine kinship of service to our beloved country. I am extremely proud to know him!
