Indiana Jones And The Temple Of Disclosure

Capitol Disclosure By Stephen Bassett

April 2025

Of late, I find myself searching for an analogy gleaned from one of the A-list films of all times to the Disclosure process currently underway. I think I found one, Raiders of the Lost Ark -- IMDb 8.4, Rotten Tomatoes 94% Fresh.

In that A-list film and in one of the all-time great opening scenes of any movie, Indiana Jones is attempting to steal a golden idol in a dimly lit, decrepit temple. The ever-so-clever Indy decides he will swap the idol for a bag of sand - quickly. That's not going to work, however. The ancients were not idiots. The temple starts collapsing and Indy runs like hell, barely escaping alive.

For nearly eight decades, and most aggressively during the course of the last eight years, citizen researchers and activists have been seeking THEIR golden idol - Disclosure - the formal confirmation by leaders of nations that unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) are real and of non-human origin.

Disclosure is the great McGuffin of our time. Its value is incalculable. The history behind it is ancient. And now that that idol sits before us -- well within reach -- all we have to do is grab it (forget the bag of sand - really?), run like hell and hope we get out alive.

After all, who on Capitol Hill ISN’T talking lately about UFOs, UAPs, extraterrestrials, aliens, Disclosure, legacy programs, USAPS, AARO, reverse-engineering, crashed vehicles or non-human biologics? We've had major, high-profile hearings, top witnesses coming forward in droves, and legislation presented before Congress, not to mention an unprecedented amount of international media coverage.

It's time to steal the damn thing from the Secret Keepers already, and get on with the rest of the movie!

And who ultimately must play the role of Indy in our Disclosure saga. That's obvious, isn't it?  The President of the United States or the head of state of another nuclear nation. Personally, I prefer the former. There are short term benefits if the United States “goes first.” But whomever plays Indy, in the long term, it really won't matter.

That leaves the challenge of getting out alive, which translates into how Earth’s two hundred nations and sovereign territories will deal with the greatest paradigm shift in history after we finally enter the post-Disclosure World. I am optimistic. After all, Raiders of the Lost Ark had a nice ending.

So, while those of us who have dedicated our lives to fulfilling the act of Disclosure continue to await an outcome, I have a script available for a sequel to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (IT WASN'T THAT BAD!).
